What the CPLA determines is whether the adaptation can handle hot beverages. Pure PLA is very compostable, but its softening temperature is low, and the lid on a freshly brewed American cup is exactly the place where it should not be softened in advance. Mixing mineral fillers into PLA resin can support the part to remain rigid even as the polymer begins to soften. The first difference reported by customers is that the top surface of the cup lid remains flat and the edge of the cup lip does not rise up after the cup has been left for a few minutes.

In terms of optical properties, CPLA is opaque and milky white, and it is impossible to make a completely transparent cup lid with it. If your brand needs full transparency, pure PLA or PET is the honest answer; if you need the lid to hold its shape on hot drinks, CPLA is the way to go.

The cup lids are formed, inspected and packaged in the purification workshop, then boxed, palletized and shipped. Standard orders take approximately 30 days from shipment confirmation, depending on order volume. Customized products require a mold opening cycle on top of this, which is why we request drawings earlier than most buyers expect.

The payment method is:

FAQ

Q1: When storing this cup lid, is it more appropriate to store the cup lids with the flip-button facing up or down? 

A: It is recommended to stack and store the flip-tops with their openings facing upward to avoid squeezing the flip-tops under heavy pressure and preventing premature bending and damage of the flip-tops, which may affect later terminal use.

Q2: There is no printed version of the purchased currency. Is it feasible for us to find an external factory for secondary printing later? 

A: External secondary printing is not recommended. CPLA material has limited resistance to ink solvents and can easily cause cracking and deformation of the cup lid. We give priority to printing with our original factory.

Q3: If there are a small number of defective products with slightly bent flip covers in large goods, how will you deal with them? 

A: After receiving the goods, please take pictures as soon as possible to count the defective ratio and confirm that it is a production problem. We will restock or discount the goods according to the actual defective ratio.

Q4: Is the color difference between different batches of natural cup lids a quality problem? 

A: The characteristics of biomass raw materials will cause slight color difference, which will not affect the performance and degradation certification, and is not a quality defect.

Q5: If we receive the goods and open the box and find that some of the cup lids are stuck together, what is the reason? 

A: Slight adhesion may occur when the storage environment temperature is high, which is a characteristic of CPLA material. It can be separated by hand without affecting normal use.

Q6: If the product is transported to a high-temperature warehouse and stored in a high-temperature warehouse environment, will it cause the flip-flop parts to become brittle?

A: Long-term storage at high temperatures above 40°C will accelerate material aging and the toughness of the flip cover will decrease. It is recommended to store it in a cool, dry warehouse away from direct sunlight.
